The story of Villa Weiss
On the shore of the famous Austrian lake Attersee in the Salzkammergut, stands the glamorous Grande Dame, Villa Weiss, in her matchless beauty. Built in 1923 as the hunting estate for the Brazilian royal family, who knew to appreciate the high quality of life of the so called “Sommerfrische” in Attersee. The honourable witness of the last century, seduces with her charm anyone who catches her eye. In here youth she organized many extravagant parties. During the world wars, she could not simply watch and so she transformed herself into a hospice. Villa Weiss “nursed” the wounded amongst the courageous soldiers. After having served, she filled with joy and hosted unforgettable events.
After a short contemplative break the Grande Dame continues this lively era today. With elegance, the Villa Weiss presides over the lake Attersee and welcomes joyful guests with open arms.

Throughout the Villa Weiss one has the spectacular view of the lake Attersee. The spacious rooms have been renovated and refurbished to comply today’s standards, keeping the original flair. All the guests of Villa Weiss are treated like royalty.

Our ‘’Petit Café’’ lies within the heart of the villa and makes sure that every one of our guests is well taken care of.
We believe that a great breakfast, is essential for a great day!
During the week the Grande Dame serves a rich breakfast from 8.30am to 11am.
On weekends and holidays, from 9am to 1pm, she reminds every guest that brunch is the meal of kings.
In the evenings, when the sun sets and the ‘’Höllengebirge’’ takes on its famous red color, enjoy the breathtaking view with an aperitivo in hand. After which our chef will be happy to serve you a daily varying and local dinner.
Every Friday the coals are fired up for a juicy BBQ.

TO THE SALT-FREE SEA
Lake Attersee is as breath-taking from the shore as it is in from the inside. In the mornings, the lake calls are irresistible. Every guest of the Villa Weiss has access to a private beach with towels.
Whoever arrives by boat will be welcomed with open arms after giving us a call.
